Just in… we received the tornado crimps we have been waiting for! New lower price! The girls will be getting them out on Tuesday!

So, no water in the shop means no potty! And what do women need? Me, included! A potty! So, I resolved myself to opening the shop Saturday with only a “private path!”

As I was rushing around, stressing over the “leak”, I felt a little warm… soon realizing that the air conditioner didn’t seem to be cooling. I called Dani again… bless his heart! He came over with his a/c guy (because mine never called me back!) My a/c unit died! Dani and Jason were able to get us up and running, though, and I am sitting in a very cool bead shop right now!

Saturday is only a memory now… Deb and Jo came and helped out (just in case I needed to travel my “private path”… to an off-site potty!) Lety packed up her beautiful beads and left Saturday. Ted was starting to feel better when I got home. Sunday was a quiet, peaceful day. Great service at church! A Sunday afternoon nap! Dinner with Dani and Fran! FaceTime call with the grand boys wrapped up a perfect Sunday.

Monday, my day off, I am thankful for a “cool” shop and indoor plumbing… that now works! There are lots of other things making my “Reasons to be thankful” list. A BEAD BOUTIQUE and my customers are right up near the top (along with family, those grandsons and of course our little granddaughter!) Ted is feeling much better and we are anticipating good reports on the skin cancers removed.

Watch for information about our MAY DAY! MAY DAY! sale!!! I had to clean out a closet for the plumber… who ordered a bracelet, by the way! I found a few beads that need to find a new home! Lety returns to CenLa with her sterling silver jewelry, charms, fleur de lis items, crosses, flowers, gulf charms, tigers, Louisiana and New Orleans charms, bracelets, chains, earrings, Pandora-style beads/charms, and more. She also has lots of NEW items, including her new plated items that sold very quickly last fall!

The “bead mobile” did come last week. Mr. Terrell had lots of shell pearls in great colors! The $5.00 tub is full of over 550 new items! You will find the “perfect purple”… while supplies last! Of course there are lots of other colors, too, including red, white and blue, great pastels, and even some black! Shop early! We have several customers who  come in and buy twenty or more bags from the $5.00 tub! Stop by today!!

Oh, wow… talk about beads! MORE beads! Mr. Terrell knows so much about beads. I would enjoy his visit even if he didn’t have beads or a BEAD MOBILE! One of my customers said, “You have the best job!” She is right! I do! Great beading friends, plus all of these beads!

I have put the items I purchased from the TRUNK SHOW on the “new” wall. We started working on the new items from the BEAD MOBILE, but haven’t quite finished that task. I have over 300 new strings for the $5.00 tub! Great shell pearls! If you want purple beads, you will want to shop early because I have the best, and I do mean the BEST “PURPLE” SHELL PEARLS I have seen. Mr. Terrell came to my shop BEFORE going to Baton Rouge (or we would not have ever seen the purple pearls!) I have 4mm, some 6mm and a even have a few 8mm strands! They will NOT last long! If you want purple pearls, come in ASAP!

The guys will begin packing up as things settle down tomorrow… as long as you are coming and shopping, they will work with us. The catch is that they have to drive to Denver tomorrow night, straight through, for a show there this weekend!

This has been a very different show from recent ones. As promised, there are higher quality gemstones. The prices are considerably below retail. The folks who have attended the show are already looking forward to the next show. Sales are what draw vendors like BeadTrust to central Louisiana!
